Welcome to Week 5!

We are already in week 5 of this EVOnline session Communities of practice online: Reflection through experience and experiment with the Webheads community of language learners and practitioners, so marvellously coordinated and led by Vance Stevens.
We have been discussing about online communities, how they form, how they operate, web tools that facilitate the interaction of its members, the theory behind these communities, among other interesting topics. It is our turn now, to introduce the discussion of how participating in one of these communities influences the participants’ teaching practice.
Aiden, Arlyn, Rita, Buthaina, and Dafne joined this session in 2002, and have since been very active participants in the Webheads community . This year, we have the opportunity to be co-moderating this session with our mentor Vance; and we are going to share how being part of Webheads has informed and influenced they way we approach our online teaching practices.
Each of us will share different experiences and perspectives, and we invite all of you to express your opinions, share your own experiences, ask questions; in short ,take an active part in this discussion.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Aiden, Dafne, Rita, Arlyn, and Buthaina.

Read our abstracts for the week!
